New arrests

• Mickey Dean Morrell of Duck River, TN was charged with Receiving Stolen Property on November 21, 2011.
• William Harold Towle of Southampton was charged with Theft on November 24, 2011.
• David Wells of Willow Grovewas charged with Aggravated Assault on November 26^th, 2011.
• Jennifer Ponzo of  Horsham was charged with DUI High Rate of Alcohol on November 27^th, 2011.

PennDOT to Repair Warminster Road Bridge

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today (11-23-11) that lane restrictions are scheduled on the Warminster Road Bridge over the Pennypack Creek in Upper Moreland Township and Hatboro Borough, Montgomery County on Monday through Friday (Nov. 28-Dec. 2) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Crews will remove sediment from the creek and install rock to help stabilize the abutments and piers.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $1.8 million project to repair 39 bridges in the Philadelphia region.

The three-span, concrete encased steel I-beam bridge was built in 1886 and carries 13,215 vehicles a day. It is 102 feet long and 30 feet wide.

The entire project is expected to be completed by June 2012.

Plan for Willow Grove Airbase reviewed, needs more work

The recommended plan which outlined the reuse of the Willow Grove Airbase was presented Wednesday night.  It was found to need more work.  The board looks like it will receive more time to improve the plan.
