Child labor law bill to be ready for hearing in September

State Representative Tom Murt is preparing for a hearing before the Labor Relations Committee on September 23, 2010.  The proposed legislation defines reality television and would require all minors to have work permits issued by the state Department of Labor and Industry to ensure all adequate provisions have been made for the minor’s education, supervision, health and welfare.

Upper Moreland Township Commissioners vote to study moving train station

Upper Moreland’s Commissioners have voted to study whether to move the Willow Grove Train Station across the street.  The township secured a $60,000 grant from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission and will add an additional $15,000.
