Upper Moreland School Board preliminary budget hikes taxes 4 percent

The preliminary budget raises the tax burden on an average homeowner by $134.91. This brings up the average homeowners school tax bill to $3,494.48.  This 4 percent increase is well above the 1.7 percent allowed by state law.  The school district hopes that “exemptions” will allow them to bypass this limit.

Upper Moreland presents its draft of “Revitalization Plan 2012”

The updated draft of the Revitalization Plan for Upper Moreland Township has just been released.  A meeting to discuss this plan is scheduled to be held by the Revitalization Task force on January 25th at 7:00 PM EST.  The plan will also be discussed at the Community Development Committee Meeting on February 13th at 7:00 PM EST.

  • Marian Hull to submit a Preliminary Grant Application to the Montgomery County Revitalization Program to fund a continuation of the Streetscape Improvement Project at a cost of $75,000; $60,000 will be requested from Montgomery County and a $15,000 match provided by the Township
