Upper Moreland Township meeting discusses “How Tax Dollars are Being Spent”

December 8, 2009

UM Commissioner Lisa Romaniello presents to residents

In the first of two meetings scheduled for December 8th and 9th at 6:30pm in the Upper Moreland Township Council Room, Commissioner Lisa Romaniello presented the proposed 2010 budget.

This brief informational meeting was being held on two consecutive nights to allow residents to get a better understanding of the income and expenses of the Township.   The budget topic was chosen as the Finance and Administrative Committee did not present as scheduled at yesterday’s regular township commissioners’ meeting.

An overview of the approximately $16.5 million budget was presented.  Sources of income and expense were discussed and were followed by a question and answer session.  Details of the budget are on the Township web site.
